Raymond Eugene Surratt, Jr, 84 of Peoria, AZ, died August 6, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 6, 1932 in Bonne Terre, Missouri, the oldest son of Charles Raymond and Hazel (Lewis) Surratt. He met and married his wife, Pook Kim June 20, 1962 in Seoul, Korea.

He is survived by his wife, Pook, his son, Allen (wife Angie), grandson, Anthony (wife Joann) and his soon to arrive, first great grandson, Austin Ray Surratt.

Raymond Eugene Surratt, Jr, 84 of Peoria, AZ, died August 6, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 6, 1932 in Bonne Terre, Missouri, the oldest son of Charles Raymond and Hazel (Lewis) Surratt. He met and married his wife, Pook Kim June 20, 1962 in Seoul, Korea.

He is survived by his wife, Pook, his son, Allen (wife Angie), grandson, Anthony (wife Joann) and his soon to arrive, first great grandson, Austin Ray Surratt.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Nick, Herb, Larry, Dwight and Ronald. The "Surratt Boys" all served in the United States Air Force and were recognized for their service in the Versailles, Ill.

Ray served in the United States Air Force until January 31, 1980; retiring after 30 years of service. He was very proud of serving his country and was always seen wearing one of his baseball caps stating he was a USAF Veteran. He was a humble man who was often donating to those who were less fortunate than he.

Visitation and viewing is Friday, August 11, 2017 from 9-10:00 a.m. at Sunland Memorial Park, Mortuary and Cremation Center, 15826 Del Webb Blvd, Sun City, AZ 85351. Graveside services with full military honors will follow in the cemetery at 10:00 a.m..
