George W. Comyack, 88 passed away on February 4, 2014 in Chandler, AZ. He was born
on September 25, 1925 in Manville, NJ. He served 20 years in the US Army and while
serving his country he was a POW in Germany from July, 1944 until May, 1945. Post
WWII he continued his career and retired with a rank of Chief Warrant Officer (CW2) in
November, 1963 and served with honor and distinction. George and family lived in
Manville, NJ and retired to Peoria, AZ in 1989; where he

George W. Comyack, 88 passed away on February 4, 2014 in Chandler, AZ. He was born
on September 25, 1925 in Manville, NJ. He served 20 years in the US Army and while
serving his country he was a POW in Germany from July, 1944 until May, 1945. Post
WWII he continued his career and retired with a rank of Chief Warrant Officer (CW2) in
November, 1963 and served with honor and distinction. George and family lived in
Manville, NJ and retired to Peoria, AZ in 1989; where he
lived out his life with family and friends until his passing.
George was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-gandfather. He was
predeceased by wife Claire, sons George David and Paul Gary; brother William and sister
Anne. He is survived by his son Thomas (wife Roxane), daughters Jacquelyn, Patricia
and Valerie (husband Carl), seven grandchildren Johnny, Chance, Thomas, Brian,
Sandra, Brent and Kelsey and one great-granddaughter Belle Comyack.
A memorial service will be held at the Sunland Memorial Park Mortuary and Cremation
Center in Sun City, AZ on Monday, February 10, 2014 at 10:30. Donations to support
the Warrant Officer Doughboy Chapter Scholarship fund supporting Children of Military
