Beulah Grace Galbraith Torgerson (Boo), of Sun City West, AZ, passed away in her home, surrounded by loved ones, on September 1, 2017.
Beulah was born in Salt Lake City, UT on October 30, 1921. She later moved with her family to Omaha, NE, where she graduated from Central High School in 1939.
Beulah returned to Salt Lake City where she was reintroduced to a longtime friend, John Severin Torgerson (Jack) of Salt Lake City. They were married on October 30, 1943 at the Yuma Army Airfield, AZ, where Jack was stationed. They were married...

Beulah Grace Galbraith Torgerson (Boo), of Sun City West, AZ, passed away in her home, surrounded by loved ones, on September 1, 2017.
Beulah was born in Salt Lake City, UT on October 30, 1921. She later moved with her family to Omaha, NE, where she graduated from Central High School in 1939.
Beulah returned to Salt Lake City where she was reintroduced to a longtime friend, John Severin Torgerson (Jack) of Salt Lake City. They were married on October 30, 1943 at the Yuma Army Airfield, AZ, where Jack was stationed. They were married for 57 glorious years, until Jack's death in 2000. Beulah later married Edward Fred Heckenbach in 2004. They were married for 4 years until Edward's death.
Beulah worked as a secretary for many years and later enjoyed her role as homemaker and her hobbies of golf, knitting, needlepoint, bridge, playing the organ and traveling with Jack. She was also actively involved with many charitable organizations.
Beulah and Jack were stationed in AZ and LA during World War II. Jack flew a B17 for the US military in England and France. After the war, they returned to Salt Lake City and Provo, UT to make their home. Later they were transferred to Grand Junction and Greely, CO. After retirement, in 1983, Beulah and Jack moved to Sun City West, AZ to establish their residency.
Beulah is survived by two nieces, Judy Ford Garrigues of Martinez, CA and Bonnie J. Ford of Evanston, IL; a grandniece, Julia M. Ford-Carther of Miami, FL; two grand nephews, Gregory R. Garrigues (Betsy) of Bozeman, MT and D. Alexander Ford-Carther (Katrina) of Chicago, IL; other nieces and nephews and friends.
Beulah is preceded in death by her parents, Minnie Amelia Ashton and Charles Edward Galbraith; sister, Helen Elizabeth Galbraith Ford (Clifton R.) Solomon (Joseph E.); husband, John S. Torgerson; husband, Edward F. Heckenbach and nephew, Robert G. Ford.
Private graveside services are planned for September 6, 2017. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Premiere Hospice and Palliative Care, ATTN: Donations, 3550 N.
