Barbara Jean Kennedy (Bobbie) passed away on the morning of June 11, 2017 at the age of 84 peacefully at her home. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 13th, 1932 to Helen and Elmer Zirk. Her hobbies included painting, crafts, crocheting, bowling, pinochle, canasta, and many other card and board games.

Barbara married the love of her life John P. Kennedy on October 21st, 1950. Together they lived in various places around the country including: Chicago, IL, Las Vegas, NM, Gary, IN, Streamwood, IL, Phoenix, Tuscan, and Surprise, AZ. She loved...

Barbara Jean Kennedy (Bobbie) passed away on the morning of June 11, 2017 at the age of 84 peacefully at her home. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 13th, 1932 to Helen and Elmer Zirk. Her hobbies included painting, crafts, crocheting, bowling, pinochle, canasta, and many other card and board games.

Barbara married the love of her life John P. Kennedy on October 21st, 1950. Together they lived in various places around the country including: Chicago, IL, Las Vegas, NM, Gary, IN, Streamwood, IL, Phoenix, Tuscan, and Surprise, AZ. She loved her husband, her sister, and her 4 kids.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 66 years, her sons Dan (Maria) Kennedy, Keith (Cindy) Kennedy, Robby Kennedy, and her daughter Lori Dirks. Her five grandchildren: Ryan (Kaci) Kennedy, Dennis (Victoria) Kennedy, Kyle Dirks, Brad Dirks, and Kelly Dirks as well as her great-grandchildren: Abel, Ernie, Porter, Grace, Everton, Emberlyn, and one more on the way. Her sister Nancy (Derald) Black, niece Karen (Charles) Mount, and nephew Robert (Sharlon) Hoffman.
She was proceeded in death by both of her parents, her son-in-law Scott Dirks, and her dog Punkin.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 6:00pm at the Sunland Memorial Park, Mortuary & Cremation Center. Address: 15826 Del Webb Blvd. Sun City, AZ 85351. Pastor Laine Wilder will be the officiant. Her place of internment will be in Arlington Heights, IL at the Memory Gardens.

Thank you to all the people that were apart of Barbara's life. She was a Faithful Wife and Loving Mother. She lived her life well.
